Directions: From the square in Gettysburg, go one block South and turn right on PA 114 (Fairfield Road).  Travel approximately 3/4 miles and the Gettysburg Campground will be on your left.

Saturday: 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.

Convoy to Gettysburg Square

Meet at Gettysburg Hotel (1 Lincoln Square-parking available in public parking lot behind hotel on Racehorse Alley.)  Tour guides will be assigned to each group of 10 persons.

Tour will begins at Train Station following President Abraham Lincoln's visit to Gettysburg.  We will visit David Wills House where the president stayed the night before the dedication and where he finished his Gettysburg Address.  Then, we will travel up the street a few blocks to the church where President Lincoln attended a political rally by the Ohio delegation-the Presbyterian Church.  Other significant buildings will also be visited.  There will be places to sit and rest along the way.

  11:30 a.m. We will stop for a light lunch (GAR building).  A brief history of the significance of the building will be given and lunch prepared by the hosts will be served.

After lunch the group will return to their cars and travel to the cemetery for the last part of the tour.

  1:00 p.m.

 

Group will head to the Soldier's National Cemetery where they will hear about the ceremonies there.....and hopefully, meet President Lincoln.
  2:00 p.m. Tour will end.
  2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Visit with friends and/or travel to places of interest in and around Gettysburg.
  6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Catered Dinner (Rec Hall)
  7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Return of the "Penn Coachmen Players" and their rendition of "My Favorite Husband".
Sunday: 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.

9:30 - 10: a.m.

REGISTRATIONSend $50.00 Rally fee deposit.   Deposit due by September 14, 2012.  Indicate number of people attending.  If registration is postmarked after due date, there will be an additional $10.00 charge.  If you plan on arriving early you must make reservations and pay the campground on your own.
